Heights Water Rates


Effective August 1, 2010
NOTE: All charges are based on a two-month billing period


Your bill will consist of the following charges:

1. Base Rate: No water is included in the Base Rate
    Single - $57.50
    Duplex - $115.00
    Triplex - $172.50
2. Capital Improvement Plan Charges: For current and future capital improvements to the system.
    All accounts - $28.72
3. Rates per 100 cubic feet (748 gallons) of water:
    Up to 500 - $1.64/100 cubic feet
    501-1,500 - $1.69/100 cubic feet
    1,501-3,000 - $1.77/100 cubic feet
    3,001-6,000 - $2.01/100 cubic feet
    Over 6,00o - $3.13/100 cubic feet

Fee Schedule
 Meter clean-up fee: $25.00 (brush, debris removal)
 Late fee for past due accounts: $10.00 per month
 Returned check fee (NSF): $45.00
 Shut-off notice delivery fee: $30.00
 Disconnection visit fee: $30.00 Assessed when a visit is required to collect payment to avoid disconnection
 Disconnection fee on delinquent accounts: $60.00
 Tampering with water meter (such as lock-outs for non-payment): $100.00
 Meter shut-off request: $30.00 each visit to shut water off or on at meter-stop valve.

Other Charges
 New water share: $10,000 (as of January 2002), based on availability. Does not include service installation, excavation, or road bore costs – shareholder is responsible for all connection charges.
 Destruction of Heights Water facilities such as mains, meters, etc., due to negligence or other cause will be billed at cost, plus time and materials.
 Capital improvement charges: Assessments are based on projects that affect all members or improvements to an area and specific members.
